SUNAR TRAVEL – Nomad Spirit

We are Samat and Nazira. We were born and raised in the unique area of Issyk-Kul and love our homeland so much that one day we really wanted to show it to everyone. So the idea to open Sunar Travel was born.

We know for sure that there are at least 5 reasons to visit Kyrgyzstan:

1) People who live here. There are more than 80 nationalities here. Each has its own traditions, bread, culture, meat dishes and native songs. They even drink tea in different ways, and only in our country you can see how it all intertwines. In a week you will see more different mentalities here than anywhere else.

Our guides will open the doors to the amazing authentic people you will meet during your tour. This gives a lasting impression.

3) The dishes that you will taste in Kyrgyzstan will take your breath away. Each region has its own traditional dishes originating from the local culture. In Karakol – the famous Dungan dish called Ashlyan-Fu. In Son-Kul, beshbarmak, which is most often eaten by Kyrgyz shepherds in highland pastures. Uzbek plov in Osh.

4) Life in alpine huts. For example, in Altyn-Arashan, which is located in the depths of the Terskey Ala-Too mountain range near Ala-Kol Lake. There you will find hot springs and a view of the snow-capped peak of Palatka 5020 m. Or the hut of Dzhil-Suu – a former Soviet farming community. Well, if you want to feel like a real conqueror of the mountains, then we recommend stopping at the mountaineering camps at Khan-Tengri peak 7010 m, Pobeda peak 7439 m and Lenin peak 7134 m. We can also accommodate you in yurts deep in the mountains.

We can also accommodate you in yurts deep in the mountains. In the picturesque locations of Jeti-Oguz and Son-Kul.

5) Endless lakes. Since Kyrgyzstan is 95% mountainous, there are many natural depressions that create unique alpine lakes.

Three lakes that you should definitely visit besides Issyk-Kul:

    • Kel-Suu
    • Tulpar-Kol
    • Chatyr-Kul

2) The unique nature and adventures. Here you can build your yurt on the shore of a salt lake near snow-white peaks. Proximity to nature, skiing and the opportunity to become a nomad – something that will give you a lot of emotions and pleasure. Kyrgyzstan is a unique place. Here you will find uncharted corners that will delight even avid travelers.

As soon as you land in Bishkek, you will realize that you are surrounded by mountains from everywhere, but at the same time, you will be surprised by the different types of landscapes.

There are no large cities or densely populated areas in Kyrgyzstan. There are many open places in this country, such as Son-Kul, Sary-Jaz, Alay valley, Ak-Sai valley, as well as the Tien Shan, Kyrgyz Ala-Too, Pamir, Alay, Terskey Ala-Too and Talas Ala- Too. Fortunately, you will have an excellent guide who will show you all the variety.
